I found this abandoned house on a side street, not far from downtown, in the Coastal resort town of Beaufort, South Carolina. The juxtaposition between the well-kept, stately plantation style homes in the historic downtown area and this house, located just a few streets over, was not lost on me. Yet despite its derelict state (it was uninhabited), the house still had charm, and seemed to tell an interesting story of long-finished barbecues, late-night talks around the stove, and great food being cooked in the back kitchen…
Speaking of great food, I love this recipe for pulled pork, but I should really get my sister Marcia to share her Bizou Creative Catering pulled pork sliders recipe with us…
