These boots were made for walking, but that’s not what they did when I painted them! 😉 The boots belonged to visiting artist, Simon Beck, who paints these beautiful mystical tree scenes. Simon was in the middle of an ‘Avatar’-style tree painting, when we borrowed his shoes as part of a giant still life. I preferred to narrow in on just the boots. They made me wonder; what roads have these boots travelled? What have they seen? Where will they end up next?
Simon’s Boots, 2012, hard pastels on black pastel paper, approx. size 24″ x 18″. Original available to purchase (just contact me), fine art prints available here.
